Looking for the name of an Old japanese Samurai TV series.?

Question

I am looking for find the name of an old Samurai TV show so I can look for the DVD set.

Here are the details I can remember.

· The main character is a noble man (Like a king or prince or something).

· The main character likes to put on the clothing of a commoner and go outside of the palace. (He doesn’t like to be confined I guess.)

· The main character has single male and female ninja assistants that gather intelligence on any wrong doings.

· Main character has an old man in the palace that serves as an advisor (or something) that constantly hassles the main character for not settling down to have children.

This is the basic plot for most of the episodes.

Bad guy is introduced to the main character as a noble.

Bad guy does bad things.

Main character learns of the bad man’s evil doing.

Main character confronts bad guy.

Bad guy mistakes the main character for a common do-gooder and threatens the main character.

Main character tells the bad guy. “Look at my face…” and bad guy remembers the main character as a king or what ever and says he is very ashamed and sorry for his wrong doings.

Main character tells bad guy something in the likes of “You have done wrong, now do the right thing and kill yourself. I will assist you.” (This was done to show repent for one’s sins or what ever Way back in the days)

Main character does not want to do it and yells to his goons “This guy is not the king! He is an imposter! Kill him!”

Bad guy’s goons attack the main character, <Insert awesome sword fighting> all goons are dead and main character kills bad guy.

Everyone is happy.
