Looking for the phone directory in Germany?

I need to find an old friend. Is there a directory in English? Thanks;

Yes, go to http://www.telefonbuch.de and then go to "English" there....

But, you have to enter the family name of your friend first and then his first name, like  "Müller Peter" and then press the enter key. If you also know the town's name that is even better.
