Looking for thrift stores resale shop in Ireland, names, towns???

I will be traveling to Ireland soon and would like to find some unique thrift stores or resale shops. I will be traveling from Shannon to Cork and on to Dublin so any of these towns or anything in between.

  1. There are several second hand and charity stores around Ireland, and probably a dozen charity chains. If you visit Cork, North Main Street has a lot of them, and Oliver Plunkett Street has several of them as well (I don't know Dublin that well). Oxfam, Cancer Society, animal shelters - plenty to choose from.

    They used to be much more niche market, but now they are getting very popular, so for the best shopping, be ready to roam the stores 10 AM when htey have fresh stock.

The site below will help you find what we call 'Charity Shops' throughout Ireland.  Click on 'Find a charity shop' on the panel on the left hand side and it will bring you to a map of Ireland where you can click on the individual counties to find the location of shops there. Charity shops in Ireland raise funds by reselling men’s, women’s and children’s clothes, books, shoes, bric-a-brac, ornaments, jewellery, antiques, household goods and toys and some charity shops also take furniture.
