  1. take her to the rat and parrot, and to the museums

  2. The Star of India on Old Brompton Road has renovated and is very cool. Food is outstanding (northern Indian compositions by TV chef Reza Mahammad). Insider tip: When you call to book a table, request the back room on the first floor. Very private and romantic.

  3. There is a restaurant near Covent garden called 'Rules', it's one ofthe oldest in London. It serves traditional British but does it with a modern twist. The service is superb, real silver service but still friendly and the food is dvine. It's not cheap but for a special occasion i heartily reccomend. The other place which has wonderful food and great service, is right next to Tower Bridge overlooking the Thames is The Chop House, thats always worth a visit.

    Enjoy yourselves.

  4. I've just been to Bentleys in Swallow Street, near Picadilly Circus.  Wonderful food, especially the native oysters - that should get you both in the mood!

Gorgeous food, yet affordable. I have been to the New Globe Walk one twice and it's been really good both times. It gets really busy though. The extras would be a nice walk on the bank and maybe some of the museums nearby.

If you like English food (and I mean proper English), there is a restaurant in Covent Garden called Porter's Grill, their food is awesome.
