I first saw this on Ellen. A woman rides and does tricks on a horse in an arena. It almost seems as if the horse is doing the tricks by the direction or thought of the woman. At the end of the act the woman stands on the back of the horse.

  1. A horse can recognize even very subtle ques, my horse can feel when I turn my head to look elsewhere and will fallow that direction.

  2. Stacy Westfall. She is an incedible horseman(not horsewoman, although she is female). She is a Vaquero. It took her 8 years to train her horse for the ''tricks'' as you put it. Actualy it is a reining pattern a real competion, she does that as a exibition to show off her training skill. She does not direct the horse through thought, she is actualy queing the horse with her legs and balance(yes the horse can feel this), and that is what reining is all about. Queing the horse with out the judge seeing you do it. Again it is NOT magic, it is years and years and year of training. She is amaizing and my hat is off to her.

  3. That is a bit of an exaggeration. You cannot control a horse with brain waves, ha.

Instead, horses can read signals as subtle as shifting the weight of your hip bone, or adding pressure with your thigh.

People forget that horses are VERY sensitive, and we should all work on lightening our signals
