If so, who are you routing for?

I'm routing for good old Hedgehunter. He also has a stablemate called, Cloudy Lane. Hedge, has always been my favourite, even though.. he probably has no chance of winning.. this year. :-)

  1. At the age of 12 this is probably Hedgehunter's last crack at the National. I would imagine he may be retired after this year's race. With top weight I can't see him winning but he is a reliable shout to get round so might be in for some place money.

Cloudy Lane is favourite for this year's race.

  2. me too

  3. Looking forwards to it.  It is the only race that we ever bet on.  Either Slim Pickings or L'ami.

  4. Hi

Yeah Hedehunter is one of my favourites too! You probably know his record in the race, 1st, 2nd, 9th and his 1st effort in 2004 when he fell at the last, leading. I agree he has only a slight chance of being even placed although he is quality. He's 12 but although he hasn't won a race in three years the handicapper has put 11 stone 12 lbs on him, which is daft. Next year at age 13, if he ran would certainly be his last national. Although I may be wrong the last horse to run in it aged 14 was Go Pontinental in 1974 when he fell at the 4th.

    Enjoy the race.
