Question:

Looking good without make up?

i usually wear a good bit of make up, but after hearing how horrible it is for your skin it makes me want to stop...so i have a few questions now.

first of all, i have a lot of acne scars and uneven skin tone (i have some red blotchiness within my very fair white skin yick!)...what can i do to even out my skin tone and make the blotchiness go away? i don't really care if it takes a long time..i'm willing to wait lol.

also...i have natural oily skin...i already use blotting sheets, but it seems my skin just has a natural weird shine that i usually cover up with some powder. like if my nose gets shiny, it makes my nose look big...what can i do to control the shine?

how can i make my eyes look better even though i'm not wearing make up on them?

what can i do to make my skin look ultra healthy

thanks a load :)

  1. About the eyelashes, I get eyelash extensions at the salon. Or you could use false eyelashes. I prefer them to mascara.

  2. This may sound weird but drinking more water can help your skin look better. I heard this from another yahoo answer and thought it sounded crazy but gave it a try, its been two months now and my skin is SO MUCH better.

  3. For the scars, Vitamin E oil or Mederma can work wonders.  For your uneven skin tone, try to exfoliate your skin 1-2 a week with something not terribly harsh.  You mentioned your skin is oily... Do you wash your face frequently because of this?  If you do, you're stripping your skin of its important, natural oils, causing your it to over produce oil.  Cut down on washing, morning and night is enough!  If this isn't your problem, then invest in an oil-controlling gel and put it wherever you have the issue.  Proactiv makes a great one, and I'm sure many of the drugstore labels carry something similar.

Regarding make-up, the Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals line is fantastic!!! I use it and couldn't be happier.  Remember you can mix and match on your own and don't necessarily have to do exactly what they say.  I will recommend the Bisque as a concealer and something to even out skin tone.  This make-up is natural, non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), will do wonders for your skin tone.

If you choose not to wear make-up on your eyes, then just put some face powder on the lids to even the color.  But if you take a tiny bit of white powder and apply it to the inside corners of your eyes, and right under your eyebrows (lightly), and put some mascara on, you will instantly brighten your eyes and your appearance.  These are also good tricks to know if your eyes are looking especially tired.  Lastly, try a volumizing mascara, such as L'Oreal's Full 'N Soft.  You seen to have light features, so Dark Brown or Brownish Black would look most natural.

    Good Luck!!!!

  4. For your skin get into a routine of cleansing, moisturising each day at least twice. Use a face mask once a weak, and a scrub a few times when your skin is feeling unsmooth. Make sure your diet is good with lots of fruit, vegies and water.

If you don't make foundation, invest in a good tinted moisturiser.

Curl your lashes to make them look bigger (heat a curler with a hair dryer for a few secs).

Try going and getting your lashes tinted so they look darker.
