Looking on Ebay for protective jackets for riding a motocycle, what should I type in the search?

I'm looking for the feamle jackets for riding ..I like the crotch rocket ones, but not much is comming up, is there something else I can type in that will bring up more results?

need female jackets for summer time, size M. thanks a lot!

Lets face it there are not a lot of Jackets made for women.  And what would a FEMALE crotch rocket jacket look like?

How about: Woman Size Medium Motorcycle jacket. Unless the appearnce is the most important thing.

Or check out some companies to browse around for something you like, then search specifically on ebay for that item:

Ooh, I like this; an eBay question that involves motorcycles!

Start the search with JACKET -LEATHER,  in category; EBAY MOTORS.  There are over 3,000 listings, then narrow it down to PARTS & ACCESSORIES, then on the left choose APPAREL, GEAR & MERCHANDISE.  On the left now you can "Refine Your Search" by choosing the Class (motorcycle), Product Type (Jackets, Suits & Leathers), Gender (Womens).  Once you do all that it narrows down even more.  There are around 30 auction listings for medium.  If you check "Store inventory" in the search options box it increases to nearly 600 listings.  You can specify the size, price range, new or used & even a brand.

Be sure to read listings carefully and study the pictures & ask questions, too.  Just because a listing says motorcycle jacket doesn't mean it has any protective padding; some of them are just for looks.

I hope this helps.  I have bought a lot of my riding gear on eBay, so I know there are deals to be found.

My main jacket is a men's Gerricke mesh jacket (size Small) that I bought so I could ride on the back of my boyfriend's bike before I got mine.  It's good for 75 degrees & up, or 60-75 deg. with a sweater underneath.  I love the feeling of air going through it.

I would advise against buying protective clothing from e-bay no matter what the saving, first you cannot be sure that you will get CE approved armour, second if you can't try it on you have no idea if it fits with your gloves, helmet or bike.

I wouldn't limit myself to eBay. There are tons of reputable on line stores that have good prices and much better selection than you'll find on eBay. Here is one to get you started.
