hobbittravel.com has very cheap advertised prices but I've never tried them before and I don't know how great they actually are.

Cancun seems to sometimes have cheap flights, you could take the bus from there through Belize to Tikal and the Peten, and then to central Guatemala, then either backtrack or loop over into Chiapas Mexico and back up to the Yucatan.  That would be a great trip....hmmmm.
