Im, 6ft 190 and skiing on Atomic M2's right now. I'm looking to buy some lite weight, fun, park twin tips. I dont know what size to buy or what brand. I see some that are one width and some that narrow at the center. Why is this? I want to learn how to ride parks and like to jump big. What do you recommend? I also want something lightweight. My Atomic downhill skis are heavy. Do i have to buy new freestyle boots? Are they lighter than the Technica Diablos? Thanks for the input

  1. A lot of ski companies make twin tips.  To name a few..

    LINE

    Rossignal

    Salomon

    Armada

    Volkl

    K2

    Dyastar

For your size and weight, skis around 170 cm would be a good lenght for you.  Now they make powder twin tips that are really wide under the foot for floatation.  All mountain twintips have a smaller width, and park skis are even skinnier.  most park skis have a width around 80mm underfoot, wide enough to be stable landing big air but not to big and clumsy.

The best way to find the right ski is to try them out.  try to demo as many as you can.

  2. Get Armada Skis.  They are the best.  Period.
