Looking to buy a heavy bag...?

Are water heavy bags any good? I will mostly be using for boxing and muay thai..

  1. not sure, but I love my 100 lb. Black and white standard century bag. Like all hang bags the filling does settle a lot. Usually anything thrown chest level or higher is fine, But I might need a water bag for more even weight distribution I hate throwing a low upper cut into what feels like concrete. I guess change is hard but  I guess it's change with the times or get ran over by them.

  3. Water bags are great because they have more give than a traditional style bag. Kinda feels more realistic to me. Combatsports.com is the only company right now that sells a Muay Thai waterbag. I've haven't purchased that one YET. I've used Century Hydrocores in the past and never had a problem. I like the fact you can hit the bag in any spot and it feels the same no matter where you hit versus a traditional bag that settles and the bottom feels like a concrete block.
