If you are not a Vietnam citizen, it is extremely difficult (and not advised) to buy a property in Vietnam.  There are exceptions; however, if you just like to find a place to live, it is better to rent it first and live there for a while before deciding to buy (after going through much legal trouble.)  If you are thinking of investment in property in Vietnam and ask this question, my advice is "don't".

hi,i tried the web sites as advised by your other replies and had no luck.

You cannot buy land in Vietnam unless you are Vietnamese,there are ways round it but its tricky and difficult,you will need a good lawyer.I came here 2 years ago,then leasing was not an option,but i recently saw an advertisement in a HCMC newspaper for apartments on a 20 year lease.If can help further please dont hesitate to ask.

Hi, I go on to craigslist.org and select Vietnam. I go on there a lot to also look at properties in Vietnam. Good luck!

vietnam studio' = to buy the answer is NO NO NO! you cant buy apartment or condo! you would need to buy the whole property and that would be most difficult! They dont sell to anyone and infact they dont sell at all! They the owner uses that property for many things- barter for trips, food, auto, partnerships in business ect  expecially importance - owner- You can buy a house! they do call it purchasing a home HOWEVER! you dont actually own it! very unique people with actually no regulated land sale laws.
