Looking to buy camcorder maybe mini dv i need one that takes good pictures in low light . price upto £300.?

i take pictures of my grandchildren dancing on stage in low light at times an spotlight, so which one should i go for?

  1. none take great pictures in low light, that why the pros use camera lights.  I tape dance all the time for my business and generaly witht he spot lights there is enough to tape with any cameara.  keep in ind, if there not in the light you probaly are not suposed to see them anyway.  most times they do light the stge well enough.  for what your doing for home usage i would recomend a consumer grade panasonic camera.  probaly obly 150 or 200 quid.  Your not gonna get anything great for low light if u spend a little more.  You would need to spend a lot more.  I would also recomend you go with mini-dv tape liek you said becuase it is high quality for the size.  they do make some camera with night shot, but that generaly distorts the color and i'm guessing you dotn want your granddauter to look oll green.  Also some camera have gain which didgitaly makes the picture brighter,  This willc ause the picture to be overly grainya nd is generaly not worth it.
