never get a puppy from a pet shop, only from a breeder direct so you can check out the parents yourself.  Puppies learn their behaviour from their mothers especially, so you want to make sure they are friendly and show no aggression.  You should be able to get a pup for $500.  

If you are not aware of it, in victoria you have several puppy mills who sell puppies to pet shops.  Only buy direct.

well you can get them at a pet shop for around $200-$800 but if you look around you will find places that sell em real cheap
