  1. Chilly & windy on deck for most of the trip.  Do not expect to lay on the deck and soak up the rays.  As in the previous answer, it will be chilly until you get closer to Hawaii and the water will be a bit rough, so if you're prone to seasickness and are looking for warm weather I wouldn't sail the Pacific.  There's plenty to do on board ship without going on deck, but don't expect to do a lot of things on deck like a Caribbean cruise.

My suggestion would be to fly to Hawaii and take one of the ships there - NCL has several ships that cruise the island, but its not my favorite line as I believe the food and the service is lacking in quality.  Princess, Holland-America, and maybe Celebrity do Hawaii as well, but dates are limited.

  2. Ok I wanted to give you a smart *** answer like the last guys, but I will be the adult I am since that person was the child for me.  Expect the waters to be a little rough.  Cooler also.  Once you get more south out of San Diego (day 2 or 3) you will start to get the warmer weather.  Oct is not that cold though.  Stick with mid 60's at first.  Heating up once you are closer to Hawaii.  Have fun.

  3. It will be similar to the weather outside.
