Looking to do white water rafting in Maine, please help!?

I am helping my Dad plan a trip, and one thing we really want to do is go white water rafting. There are lots of places in Maine, and I need to find one soon that I know at least a little bit about. Nothern Maine is preferable but anywhere in Maine is fine. We are looking for a lot of fun, and excitement, nothing really boring, but nothing that takes experts either. If you have an experiences good or bad with white water rafting in Maine, please let me know. Any help is appreciated, all opinions accepted. Thanks so much!

White water rafting is fun. In Maine if you go up along the kennebec river there is a rafting place i have heard good reviews about so the kennebec river would be a good place.

the best place by far is northern outdoors.  it's a great white water rafting place and everyone there is so nice and accepting.

I went there the second time i went rafting(the first time i went was in Indonesia..not as good) and they gave full tutorials on everything you need to know.  there's different parts of the trip, such as stopping for lunch, class 3 rapids, and also floating solemnly down the river as rest.  You can go swimming at one point, and just float down the river in your life vest.  I had SO much fun!!

The only thing is its a full day thing.. pretty exhausting, but great.  They make a video and take pictures, and then you go back to the lodge and watch it after, its great fun.  wherever you choose I'm sure you'll have fun!
