I have a 2001 Yukon XL and will be traveling for around 5 hrs. I normally go 70 but willing to reduce speed for better MPG. Is there a good way to figure out the best MPH for the BEST MPG>

  1. not that i know of. i'm sure some scientist already figure it out. Slower you drive, the better milage (not driving at all won't cost you a dime in gas, suprise lol). because it gets less drag from wind resistant. Anyway, drive to the speed limit, on the highway, drive 60mph.

  2. Keep your engine RPMs down. Experiment a little. Try and find the lowest RPM at which you can cruise.

But you're also towing a boat and driving a Yukon XL. You're still probably pushing single digit MPGs, man.
