Question:

*** Looking to host a free community clothing swap - any suggestions?

My friend and I want to have a clothing swap at a church or community center where people bring whatever extra clothes they have and take whatever they need. We would sort out the items by size and let people take what they want. Whatever is left over goes to charity. Has anyone done anything like this? Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

  1. We've tried that at my workplace the last couple of years, and it's not really worked very well.  Some people are hesitant to browse the hand-me-downs in that particular setting.  Much of the clothing ended up at Goodwill.   I personally love Goodwill and Salvation Army thrift stores.  They have good stuff and it's a comfortable setting.   Plus they are always there, unlike the occasional swap.

You may have a situation where the swap idea may work. Best wishes, really.
