The principal thing that you'll need is a fat wallet. There are other places nearby that are cheaper; check the local papers.

I live in Hollywood between Sunset Blvd and Hollywood Blvd. For a basic studio Beverly Hills apartment with 400+/- square feet in a nice "cool" apartment complex with only a few amenities expect to pay a minimum of $1,700 per month. Larger is naturally more money. For a pool, doorman and nice lobby expect to pay more on the order of $2,100 monthly up. Also in a high rise building, the higher your floor the greater the rent.
