Was thinking of either web design (dreamweaver) or programming? What can be done on a casual basis?

  1. How about graphics design/desktop publishing, especially with Photoshop. It is really fun, and you do not need formal training.

  2. You can register at freelance websites like http://getafreelnacer.com/ , http://scriptlance.biz/ , http://eufrelance.com/ ,etc and start bidding for all web designing projects posted there.

  3. You and everyone else.  Casually, though, you probably won't get much work doing freelance design or programming simply because most places hire their own employees for that sort of thing or outsource to other companies.

There are plenty of designers that freelance but on the same token, you have to either have a lot of contacts or be really talented.  Programmers, it happens but not nearly on the same level.

Your best bet is to just do some sort of mom & pop repair service, honestly.  Just offer your services on Craigslist.

  4. How about doing some affiliate work? These guys are great https://www.triple.com/partners/?ref=5d0... Their new affiliate program is an awesome way to make extra income on the side… with the potential 30% per sale and 15% per referred webmaster. A low payout threshold, quick and efficient pay processing and an awesome product you will actually enjoy promoting
