Looking to publish my manuscript?

can anyone help me please, i need a list of agents or a website, so i can start sending my manuscript, i am a first timer, i will try my best if is not possible then i am going for self-publishing.

  1. Agentquery.com has a number of agents listed. Also, AbsoluteWrite.com/forums has a wealth of information. My advice, don't go with self-publishing, unless you want to do all the promotion and pay for your work to be published.

    Getting a literary agent is tough, but you must stick it out. I should note, however, immediately getting an agent after sending your query out is all but impossible. Many agents have different tastes, and the worst you could do would be to give up after only a couple.

    Have you had someone Beta read your manuscript yet? Don't worry about it getting stolen, the person stealing it would have to go through the same trouble of getting your work submitted and accepted as you yourself would.

    And, just to add, STAY AWAY from PublishAmerica. Just do a google search on "PublishAmerica scam", and you'll find a wealth of information on this dispicable vanity publishing house. Take it from someone who was sucked in and just barely got out: don't go with them.
