Looking to relocate to arizona ?

Question

i have two kids and safety and schools are a big factor and of course jobs will commute some if needed preferably on the outer limits of phoenix convince me why i should or shouldn't choose that area all info is greatly appreciated maybe you'll get best answer plz not stupid expensive either

I live in Queen Creek. Bought a cheap but big house. Good schools, low crime rate if any. It is suburbia, just full of families and happy people. There is also a bunch of new businesses and shops going up. The only problem I have with it is the commute I drive 36 miles to ASU in Tempe (one way) it is torture and takes about an hour.

I would stay clear of some parts of Central , South and West Phoenix and some parts of Mesa to.

Good places to live and raise kids:

West Side:

Goodyear, Litchfield, Surprise, North Glendale and Peoria.

Don't move to Arizona. It's crime ridden, "homcide a day"should be the slogan for the state. It's full of illegals and you pay more in taxes to support them, the high utility bills, cost a lot to keep cool in the summer., which lasts for 8 months. Car insurance is more because of all the car theft and accidents.

Previous answers about home prices are correct and if your living in the  "affordable areas" that are not gangland, you will be commuting an hour each way.

It many years ago was a nice place to live, but not any longer.

There are much better places to live than Arizona. For the sake of your children, don't move there.

I would consider moving up in the tri city area of Prescott, AZ, about 100 miles north, not so hot, hardly any snow, mild winters.  Lots of fun stuff to do up here now.  We even have an ice hockey team where all the teens go to the games and a great hang out.  Ck us out up here.

Oh, where is there a safe place to live.  As far as the illegals, some one has to work, seems like alot of the native people don't wanna work.

I just got back from looking at brand new houses in Queen Creek , Arizona.   YOu can find the area on the map at Hunt Highway and Copper Basin Road.  3,500 sq ft house on 1/4 acre lot for $264,000.  That is so low.  Near downtown Phoenix that would buy you a condo with 2 bedrooms.  Move here. It's wonderful. /

I would not move here.

In the Valley like any other area, there is no safe place.

We also have a major illegal drop house problem.

High car theft problem along with ID.

It all stems from our high illegal problems.

Plus the schools have a lice problem.

that person who commented above is probably an unintelligent kid, North Phoenix is safe, I would highly recommend East Scottsdale, east of Scottsdale road, north of Shea, very kid friendly, lot of parks, lot of Churches, Mosques, Synagogues. Private schools are great, Mission Montessori is  a great school. For you now, Scottsdale is fashion capital of the world, Kierland commons is a great place to eat shop, Desert Ridge also nice, Fashion Square, and there's a lot of great gyms, golf courses. You can find a descent home in the 400,000 range but a nice home can get you 500,000 or 600,000, Good luck seriously!

umm i live in AZ, and while i do live in southern AZ i do have friends up by Phoenix and i have been there myself.

Do NOT move here, especially with kids.

This state is disgusting no matter where you go. It is full of illegals, no matter what part you live in. If you dont have a degree in anything or can get a job in a nice office building, you will either not be able to get a job because of all the illegals taking them or you will be working with some of the most disgusting people you have ever seen.

It's to hot for far to long, the weather is a 100% toss up.

The scum of the earth get tossed here, from all around. Dont move here, anywhere here.

North Glendale is ok, south Glendale is a bit dodgier.
