  1. No. Look online ( http://www.iHomeConnect.com ) or in your local newspaper and apply with the landlord.  They'll run a credit check, probably have an interview, and if all's well, you'll land the place!

  2. no

  3. The rental market changes daily.  Most nice houses rent in 1 or 2 days.  That is too fast for a realty agent to keep up.  Just check the ads and run to check on the homes yourself.  Don't be pressured, but you have to make a quick decision. /

  4. Realtors rarely dabble in rentals where I live.  Best you get the Sunday newspaper & check out the classifieds for housing rentals.

Where I'm at, they rent both apartments &  townhouses in a really nice complex.  Now if I was wanting to rent without upkeep, a townhouse is the way to go>  all outside maintenance  is covered.  A lot of homes that are rented will require you to cut grass or shovel snow.

You want to consider location of course, & safety too.  If the house ad reads something like: "Lovely house for rent, reasonable & immediate occupancy", see if you can find out where it is before you get too interested.  Often times, it's in a bad part of town, next to a burned out crack house.

Also,  consider a home rental maybe about the same as a house payment.  Sometimes you can do a rent to own option, where part of the rent goes toward buying the home.

Wish I could go with you to find your dream rental > I love looking at real estate.

  5. It depends if they have a lot of rentals registered to them. Don't pay any fees in advance for lists of houses that might be nothing other that print-outs of the want ads.
