Has anyone ever did this and do you know of a rental company? I have seen rental agencies but do not know the area they are talking about when I see the listings. This would be my first experience doing this so I need some help.

  1. I have stayed with a few different companies before, and my favorite is http://www.allstarvacationhomes.com  They have a ton of options very near the parks, and their houses have been absolutely great every time!  I loved staying with them, and that is where we always go now.

  2. I highly recommend Windsor Hills subdivision for rentals.  The link at the bottom is to my favorite condos and houses.  The owners are super easy to work with and have a refundable deposit (not many private owners do!).  I recommend these homes to my clients.

  3. There are numerous rental properties depending on your budget.  We rent ours out in the Lake Davenport Estates area at $78 nightly depending on season.  It's about 8 miles from Disney.  You can check it out at www.vacationrentalconnection.com/326.htm

There are many other sites to look at including Craigslist. The better areas are on the side towards hwy 27 and hwy 192, known as the 4 corners region.   Whatever you do make sure you get a total price on what you are renting and how much security deposit is.  Good luck

  4. Go to vrbo.com (vacation rentals by owners) It is a excellent website to find houses to rent. My dad found our house on the website last year when we stayed in Disney. We were literally 5 minutes away from Disney.

    Have fun!!

  6. I visited Disney with my kids when they were young five yrs in a row. Every year we tried something new and visited different areas. If you would like to lay back and really enjoy Fl, don't stay in or near Disney. Why you ask, its like a job... lol you get up early and go to bed late. When you go home you will feel like you never had a vacation...there are so many other things to do besides Disney ( I found that out after moving here). Now don't get me wrong I love Disney.

Now here is another tip that I found worked. I bought my tickets at the park the ones that don't expire, meaning i used a day every yr. That let me visit other places.

I did stay at Disney like I said I loved it and so did the kids. Now if you have a big family, I would say stay at a short term rental. This  gives you a lot of room to move around. That's what made me start my own short term rental.

Map out Disney make a circle around it and any hotel or vacation rental will be great. Have a wonderful stay and what you don't do this yr you will do the next. : )
