Loose Chips, son of Sir Harry Lewis, out of Worlaby Rose, performed exceedingly well in his seasonal debut on 22nd January, 2012. He finished 1st and defeated, Volcan Surprise, at Towcester in the Haygain Hay Streamers – Clean Healthy
Hay Novices’ Hurdle.
Makethe Mostofnow, did not perform as well as his trainer, Evan Williams, had hoped. On 12th January, 2012, he competed in the Blue Square Staying Novices’ Hurdle at Fontwell, and finished a distant sixth.
He disappointed his conditions and fans alike, as he was sent as the favourite to win the race.
This will be the first race for Big News in 2012. The son of Karinga Bay, out of Welcome News, failed to build on a promising bumper in his last race, which was held on 14th December, 2011.
He finished 6th at Bangor-on-dee in the Maelor Intermediate Open National Hunt Flat Race.
Kilmacowen finished 3rd in his last race, on 22nd January, 2012. He found the 3 mile race exhausting, but still showed promise in the Clare's Birthday Novices' Hurdle, held at Towcester.
Magical Man, the son of Lahib out, of Majestic Di, finished 5th in his last race at Ffos Las in the Digibet.com Maiden Hurdle, which took place on 29th January, 2012.

In order to make their mark in this race, they will have to bring their best performance forward.
Loose Chips is gaining popularity among the punters for this race. He is being considered for big bets by the bookies. This popularity is based on his performance at Towcester.
