Loose Wand Connection

Question

I have a Kenmore Progressive Canister Vac #21612. The metal wand, right at the point where it plugs into the powerhead, does not make a solid contact, it has about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of play in and out. Because of this it does not make constant electrical contact. Sometimes the wand comes out completely. I'm not sure if the problem is with the wand or with the plastic piece that is part of the powerhead. Any suggestions?Charles
