Lord Avonbrook tipped for success in Weatherbys Bloodstock Insurance Nursery
A lot of young and energetic participants have gathered for the Weatherbys Bloodstock Insurance Nursery at Redcar in England on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. The winner of the class-5 event will walk away with a cash prize of £2,264. Some of the runners have not even won a single event in their career, thus they will be eagerly looking forward to some action, which kicks off at 14:30 GMT.
Luckily the weather has remained dry over the past few days, thus the going will be good to firm today. If the track is wet, it puts a lot more stress on the legs of the runners, increasing chances of an injury. However, that will not be the case in the 7 furlong race, which has attracted as many as 16 entries.
Most of the runners are quite inexperienced, thus it will be extremely hard for the punters to select one favourite out of them. They will have to be very careful while risking their money on anyone.
Looking at the record of the contestants, the bookmakers have given the best odds to Danehill Flyer and Marhaba Malayeen. Both are extremely talented young runners, but have not win any race in their career, which will put them under immense pressure.
On the other hand, Lord Avonbrook will be the one to watch out for in the end, as he is a confident performer. He has got the speed to outshine his opponents and will be hoping for a clear run today. He has been priced 11 to 1 by the bookmakers and the bettors will definitely be encouraged to risk some money on him.
The two-year-old gelding made his debut in May this year and has appeared in five races since then. His performances in them have been really good and he will be looking to improve his record further today.
The Andrew Crook’s trainee has been victorious on a couple of occasions, which is a positive sign for his supporters. He was unable to deliver a strong result in his previous race though, as he finished fourth in the end. However, that was still not a bad performance and he will be looking to improve on that. Seasoned jockey, Franny Norton will be looking to guide him to the top at Redcar.
