Lord Of The Storm set to win Ladbrokes Game On! Handicap
Capitalising on the confidence produced by his last outstanding performance, the Bill Turner trained bay gelding, Lord Of The Storm, will storm to victory in the Ladbrokes Game On! Handicap that is going to be held at Lingfield racecourse on Wednesday, July
18. The Class 6 contest over 1 mile and 2 furlongs is scheduled to start at 5:30 (GMT).
On the standard track, the four-year-old veteran horse will run against 13 rivals for the sake of the prize money worth £1,704. His previous experience with the standard grounds had not been pleasant enough.
The talented son of Avonbridge out of Just Run gained a lot of confidence by marvellously winning the Premier Actuarial Handicap over 1 mile and 2 furlongs at Lingfield on June 23, 2012. In the 13-runner high-profile event, he convincingly defeated the hot
favourite candidate Camera Shy.
Prior to this classic conquest, the experienced sprinter finished 5th against a dozen of competitors in the Royal Ascot Live On Virgin 534 Handicap at the same venue on June 7.
Earlier this year, the Mrs Monica Teversham bred made some glaring marks. On April 26, the dashing horse emphatically won the Brightoncarbootsale.CO.UK Handicap over 1 mile and 2 furlongs at Brighton track.
The gelding also finished as a runner-up in the Betfair Brings You Better Value Handicap again at Brighton on May 3.
As a whole, Lord Of The Storm has won 4 of his total 20 starts so far. In today’s marathon, the skilled sprinter will run under Kieren Fox who has very pleasant experience with the gelding.
Thus, he will be able to rule over the track today as none of his rivals is strong enough to challenge him. However, Land Hawk will perform well. The Lydia Pearce trained brown gelding excellently finished first in Enjoy The Punters Package Group Offer Handicap
(Div II) at Wolverhampton on April 26, 2012. That triumph was a big morale booster for him.
It is expected that the son of Trans Island out of Heike will give somewhat tough time to Lord Of The Storm, making the event thrilling enough. Let us move to Lingfield to enjoy the live action.
