Lord Save Us likely to seal semi-final success tonight
Since debuting in July this year, Lord Save Us has proved his class in almost every major format of the game. He has three classy victories to his name. Thus, the P. Kiely trained blue dog seems to be a strong candidate for the ace title of The Book a Fundraising
Night A2 525 Semi-final that will take place at Shelbourne Park on Thursday night.
In the Grade A2 race of €50, the one-year-old novice hound will face five mighty competitors after breaking from Trap 1.
During the last week, the rookie runner prepared well for this contest. It is expected that he will come hard over the two joint favourite contestants, Brisk Bella and Slippery Sooty, to wrest a convincing success from their jaws.
The young dog is keen to prove to the punters his inherent talent and skills. His diverse experience of different racecourses will help him achieve this end.
The son of Ace Hi Rumble out of Honey Sue broke his maiden by winning a N1 race on August 10. He moved on to grab another similar victory on 25th. These two back-to-back triumphs exposed the dog’s calibre well.
Lord Save US moved on to finish as the runner-up in his maiden OR outing entitled as The 2012 Track Bookmakers Puppy Derby Round 1 Heat 9.
The brilliant sprinter’s third victory came on October 5 when he nicely sealed top spot by a length’s margin in a GR race.
Unluckily, he could not be able to do well in his last outing and finished at the bottom despite being the 2-1 favourite----it was an A2 race.
As a whole, Lord Save Us has presented himself as a consistent and reliable runner. Thus, we must expect a thumping run from him.
However, Brisk Bella has potential to cause him some damage. The Courtney trained white and black b***h finished as the runner-up in each of her last two outings. She seems to be desperate to break her maiden.
Much to her advantage, the daughter of Big Daddy Cool out of Airport Boss has run all of her races at Shelbourne Park.
The stage is set for a rip-roaring battle between the dog and the b***h. Let us see who gets the olive branch. Good luck to them.
