The S O G Reservoir Handicap is to be raced at Meydan on Friday, 17th February over six furlongs. Fourteen are to race for the £7,742 purse.
The five-year-old bay gelding, Lord Tiger was second in the final start of the 2011 season. He finished the Ford Fusion Trophy Handicap as a runner up against Mark To Market, who won the race. Count Paris and Dan Chillingworth were the 6/1 joint favourites
for the race.
Lord Tiger won his seasonal debut, the Longines Conquest Collection on 6th January. Ancien Regime was the 9/2 favourite for the race. He is stepping up for the second race of the year.
Another horse in the lineup is the four-year-old Garbah, the bay filly trained by Al Raihe. Alike Lord Tiger, Garbah won her seasonal debut, the Rajai maiden stakes on 1st January at Abu Dhabi.
Her next start of the season, in the Al Taweelah on 22nd January translated into a third position. The S O G Reservoir Handicap will mark her third outing during the new season. If she manages getting the stats of her seasonal debut back or gets
dragged down for worse, will get unveiled soon.
The six-year-old bay gelding, Captain Rio trained by S Seemar is similar to Lord Tiger and Garbah in a manner that he too has posted his seasonal debut victory. He won the Bluefrog Trophy Handicap sponsored by Al Basti Equiworld on 4th February
at Sharjah.
The race was the second start of the new season for Captain Rio who had first raced in the Arabian Scandinavian Insurance Company Handicap on 27th January which he finished tenth on the field of sixteen.
He is to post the third start of the year today.
It took the five-year-old brown gelding, Wadi Wanderer his second attempt during the season to post a victory. He won the Arabian Scandinavian Insurance Company Handicap on 27th January. The 4/1 favourite of the race, Redden finished fifteenth
on the field of sixteen.
S Seemar will also saddle Kingdom Beauty besides Lord Tiger and Captain Rio while Al Muhairi has also entered Hajjaan who will be racing his seasonal debut today.
