Lord of my Life

I came with open eyes, my Lord

I sensed your presence drew near

Angels and I would sing, in one accord

As my shackles were loosed from fear

My pages rewritten, by The Author

You are The Lord of my life, my saviour

My Kinsman redeemer, The Lord of my future

Only you are able to fully restore

My simple life will tell a story

Of how you did save me, from me

Confused the wise, because you’re worthy

And hid from them, your beauty

I have been left here, for a time

To show the world the change in me

I pray they see it, in their lifetime

So when the Master comes, they’ll be ready

  2. *****

    With open eyes, my Lord

    your presence drew me near

    Angels,

    in accord,

    loosed my shackles of fear,

    Rewritten, by The Author,

The Lord of my life, my savior,

    My Kinsman redeemer,

    The Lord, my restorer.

    Simple is my story,

    You saved me, from me

    As you confused the wise,

    To show changes in me

    I pray they see it,

    So when the Master comes,

    they’ll be ready

  3. It is bueatiful, keep the faith, God bless.

  4. Again, this is a poem/prayer combination.  You remind me of David in the OT.  His psalms were really prayers set to music. They were made to be sung to the harp and the lute. Your poems should also be sung.  They are always music.

  5. Yes, I like, "Amazing Grace" Keep the faith.

  6. Yes the Lord did set us free. Beautiful.
