Question:

Lord of the Flies Quote?

Okay I'm sorry to offend when I say this but I REALLY hate his book.

I don't get it, It doesn't flow, and the quotes make absolutely no sense.

So after saying that I am trying to examine the meaning of the quote "...where every path was an improvisation and a considerable part of one's waking life was spent watching one's feet"

Thanks :)

  1. I didn't much care for that book either, but I did what was required of me.

Like me, some people don't walk with their head held high and walk without confidence in their stride. When I walk, I look down at my feet. Therefore, most of my life spent is staring at me feet...

It basically means that whoever said this has no confidence in themselves. That's the best I can give you, man...hope that helped at all.
