I need tips on how to paint beautifully without any of the hassel. I am currently a beginner in this game and I have chosen the race Gondor. Why? Because they look really tight. After I saw the whole LOTR Trilogy with the deleted scenes years and years ago and I watched it over and over again it just made me love Gondor. I need tips on how to paint the flesh of the regular soldier without getting the paint on the helmet. And make the edge of the cheek part of the helmet where it touches the face silver without getting any of it on the soldiers face. Also washes to create the shadow effect. I hear to use black ink but people say watered down. They don't say on how watered down so could you guys lable it extremely precisely in teaspoons-cups wise. Or the size of an Arrowhead bottlecap and tell me how many capfuls. No guessing just very accurate. So if you guys have any more tips please tell me.

  1. Spray the figrs black first. You can buy "black ink" instore, ready to use, without needing to water down. The best way of learning to paint is in a warhammer store. The staff there showed me tips in about 30min. and i hav painted beautifully since then. I collect tyranids, which do not need as much detail, but still were difficult to paint.

  2. My son would get magazine that would show step by step insturctions on painting and making layouts for gaming. Also check out the Citadel paint web site.
