Lordsbury Almond likely to finish first at Crayford – A8 Race Preview
G L Davidson’s black b***h, Lordsbury Almond, is heading the market at Crayford card for the Grade A8 race which is set to be held tonight, February 25. It will be £103 contest of 380m Flat distance.
The other five entries for the event include Hollyoak Jazz, Longmint Billy, Fairyhill Tina, Mullrook Charley and Broghill Laura.
With Lordsbury Almond vying for the top spot, Hollyoak Jazz and Fairyhill Tina are likely to finish second and third in the competition respectively.
Below are the career snapshots of the threesome:
Lordsbury Almond
Since the dawn of 2012, the veteran b***h has been enjoying great form. She bagged a marvellous victory on January 17. She finished second each in her last two outings. As a whole, the four-year-old has been an average runner throughout her career.
Despite having immense talent, the daughter of Loyal Honcho out of Xamax Sylvia is somewhat inconsistent. However, her recent performances suggest that she will do well at Crayford again tonight. The b***h has 80 percent chances to finish first.
Hollyoak Jazz
Following her narrow victory in September 2011, the blue b***h won a big race on January 21, 2012. During the intervening period, the trainee of I Stevens lost a number of contests in a row.
This b***h too has been greatly inconsistent since her debut. However, the daughter of Bobbys Black out of Tell Tone Gazza owns enough fighting spirit. In tonight’s clash, she is supposed to finish second.
Fairyhill Tina
Though I Stevens’ brindle b***h has been winless since August 2011, but she has delivered some decent performances during this tenure. After finishing 2nd each in two races during first decade of February 2012, she got 5th spot in an
outing on February 18.
The daughter of Boherduff Light out of Mineola Hera is expected to unleash a good run tonight and grab at least third top spot.
Conclusion
None of the other three hounds except this favourite trio is carrying form. Thus, the real battle at Crayford will be witnessed among the favourites. Lordsbury Almond will have to struggle hard for success as both of her rivals pose to be somewhat strong.
