The young winger does not want to play the 2012/13 season on loan, and insists that he would prefer fighting for his place in the playing XI at Amsterdam Arena.
Ajax Amsterdam young winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lorenzo-Ebecilio-c22428, has insisted that he does not want to move away from Amsterdam Arena on a season-long deal. Instead, the left winger has stressed that he wants to battle for his place in the stating XI.
The 20-year-old, who came through the ranks of the Amsterdammers’ youth academy, started is professional career in the 2010/11 season, and has thus far netted 10 goals while setting up plenty more while donning the jersey Of De Joden in 46 Eredivisie matches.
The Ajax management is reportedly keen to send the promising attacker on a season-long loan deal to a club where he could relish regular first-team action.
However, the Dutch forward has made it clear that he dos not want to leave the Eredivisie champions, not even on temporary basis.
“I want to continue plying my trade here in Amsterdam. I would prefer battling for a spot in the playing XI rather than leaving the club on a loan deal”, Ebecilio was quoted as saying to the media.
The highly-talented winger went on to admit that he will face stiff competition, but has asserted that he will try his utmost to cement his place in the playing XI.
“There are many players coming in at Ajax. Last season, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miralem-Sulejmani-c25985 and Derk Boerigter were not present due to injuries. But they will be fit, and I don’t know what are my chances of enjoying regular game time”, Ebecilio added.
Nonetheless, the 20-year-old has expressed confidence that he will manage to earn his spot in the Amsterdammers playing XI. The Dutchman has revealed that he is eager to start the new season, and wants to play as many minutes as possible.
“I am fitter than ever. I have seen that during my vacations. I am eager to start, and wants to play a lot more during the pre-season fixtures”, Ebecilio concluded.
The Dutch U-21 winger has a contract at Amsterdam Arena that runs until he end of the 2013/14 season.
