The on-loan attacking midfielder has made it clear that he prefers playing time, at this point in time, than sitting
on the bench for his beloved Napoli.
The U-21 Italy star has dazzled in the Serie B this season, putting in some high quality performances for Pescara. The Delfini
have impressed everyone with their great attacking performances this season, and Insigne has been a vital cog in their progression.

Zdenek Zeman has made good use of the starlet, and has utilised him with great effectiveness in his side. His impressive displays
have thrown him in the limelight and the player has been heavily linked with various clubs. He has also been touted to return to the Partenopei to fill in the boots of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073, who has been the subject of much speculation as well, with reports suggesting
he would be moving from the Azzurri this summer.
He has also been linked with a move to Udinese, but the midfielder has made his intentions clear. He has stated that he would
not be moving anywhere where he would not be given first-team action. The 20-year-old wants to develop his skills and not be on the bench or in the stands looking at his team-mates performing. This thought would be coming from the fact that the youngster still
prefers developing at this moment in time and wants to be on the pitch learning the trade.
He was talking to the Corriere dello Sport and was quoted to have said:
“If I have to sit on the bench or watch from the stands, then I’d prefer to play elsewhere. Of course I am from Naples and I’ve
never hidden my dream to wear the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 shirt, but I’m young and I want to be on the field playing.”
The former Foggia player has also mentioned his intent of breaking into the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 squad, and commented:
“For now, I am focused on doing well under [Ciro] Ferrara. I have to work and to keep my feet on the ground. Then, we’ll see.
Of course, the Azzurri shirt is a dream for every player.”
Insigne’s chances of making it to Prandelli’s squad for 2012 are bleak, but injuries to key Serie A players might lend him a
chance.
