The Partenopei striker’s agent has revealed that he is currently negotiating better wages for his client with the Naples outfit, and believes that the forward could be handed an important role in the outfit.
Lorenzo Insigne’s agent has revealed that while there is a disagreement between the club and the player regarding the consideration of a new agreement, the striker is imminent to strike a long-term relationship with his owners.
The 21-year-old spent the last season on loan to Pescara, where his devastating form played a vital role in leading the Dolphins to their promotion to Serie A.
Insigne’s agent revealed that Napoli plan on utilising the talents of the budding star in a major role for their team, and stated that the striker will be part of the club’s attacking line-up for the next season.
The second-striker spent his last three years on-loan to three different teams, and his growth is set to be rewarded with an improved contract by the Partenopei.
The former Pescara-man’s agent went on to state that some disagreements exist pertaining to the amount of the raise in wages, but maintained that sooner or later an agreement will be reached with the Azzurri.
While talking to the press, Antonio Ottaiano said:
“There were some discussions that haven’t yet ended in agreement. Napoli rejected our first proposal and we rejected their first offer. Now we’re talking about it, but an agreement will eventually be reached.”
Ottaiano went on to reveal that Insigne is also wanted by Ciro Ferrara, the new coach for Sampdoria, who managed the player while at the helm of Italy’s under-21 team.
However, the Napoli striker’s agent was adamant that no such offer has been received as yet, and the budding star is expected to remain with the Partenopei for the next season.
“Ferrara told Insigne while on international duty that he would want him at whatever club he Coaches. I do not know if there has been an offer between Sampdoria and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003.”
Insigne is expected to fill in the shoes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073, who was sold to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.
