The agent of the young Napoli star went on to state that Lavezzi’s departure and Insigne’s arrival are mere coincidences, and Insigne has not come to fill his shoes.
There was heavy interest in the Azzurrini star following his impressive displays for Pescara during the last campaign. Insigne was a big influence on the team along with Marco Verratti, which helped Pescara secure promotion under
the coaching of Zdenek Zeman.
Napoli had sent the young star on loan to the Delfini, and he gained invaluable experience at the club, and matured into a better player during his time at the club.

to invest and strengthen other key areas of the squad.
Insigne harboured a lot of interest from various Serie A outfits, and Napoli had to issue a statement that they were not parting ways with their prized asset. His representative went on to state that his client had the temperament
to make it big in the world of football, and furthermore he remarked that Insigne was enthusing at the opportunity to start for Napoli in the upcoming campaign.
He went on to state:
“He is, beyond the excitement, motivated by a new adventure, knowing that this year he must walk a different path. He knows what he is capable of and this is very clear.”
Insigne’s agent went on to state that the timing of the sale of Lavezzi and arrival of Insigne had nothing to do with him deemed as a direct replacement. He was talking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli and mentioned that he is no replacement
for the Argentine international, and commented:
“He wants to play and knows he can take his chance. The fact that the club reinstated him into the squad at the same time as selling Lavezzi is only a coincidence because I think he would have come back anyway, because he is not
a substitute for Lavezzi.”
Napoli will provide Insigne with the perfect opportunity to fully polish his footballing skills as the Partenopei are involved in Europe in the upcoming campaign as well.
