Former Los Blancos president, Lorenzo Sanz, has warned the Spanish giants against complacency and has stated that they are not the champions yet.
Sanz has expressed that Real Madrid need to continue their winning form in order to ensure the Spanish La Liga title. The former president argued that Los Vikingos are not in the position to consider themselves champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 just yet, and they
cannot afford a slip-up in the league despite the 10-point advantage over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604.
He emphasized that the Santiago Bernabeu outfit will still need to work extremely hard in order to break Barcelona’s dominance in the Spanish Primera.
Jose Mourinho’s men have been in terrific form this season and have managed to outclass their arch-old rivals Barcelona in the domestic league.
Los Blancos have enjoyed a remarkable run throughout this season and currently boast a 10-point lead over second-place Barca, at the top of the Spanish Primera Division’s league standings.
With just 15 games left in the current season’s league campaign, it is widely believed that Los Merengues have enough advantage over the current Spanish Champions to see them lift the trophy at the end of the season.

However, Lorenzo Sanz, who was the club’s president from 1995 to 2000 has argued that overconfidence can cause harm to the team’s ambitions.
While talking to Cadena COPE, Sanz said:
“The league seems to have been decided, Madrid do not have the title in their pocket."
He also discussed Jose Mourinho’s position at the club and was of the opinion that the manager’s popularity among the fans is the reason that he is given a great deal of authority at the Bernabeu. He referred to Mourinho’s rift with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jorge-c19120 Valdano and
expressed that the head coach should not be provided with too much of power.
"Mourinho has been given power because the people are with him and he is seen as the right figure to lead the club. But having the lordship of Real Madrid is something else; there are things that are not logical here. It is not good that a coach has
so much power," he stated.
Real Madrid will continue their La Liga campaign this weekend when they visit Rayo Vallecano.
