Loris Capirossi of Bridgestone is excited with Brno Test results – MotoGP news
Safety advisor of Bridgestone Loris Capirossi enjoyed the Brno test session while testing several bikes.
The tests will help in introducing further improvements with the tyres for the next 2013 season.
He said that he wanted to thank all the teams who gave him an opportunity to test the bikes. Besides, he said that he got such an opportunity after a year. He added that he started the test from Honda Gresini bike. Furthermore, he said that he also tested
the BQR bike, the Forward racing bike and the Gresini’s CRT.
Capirossi said, “I started to test the MotoGP bike from Honda, the Gresini bike. And it’s really amazing, because I had never tested a Honda four-stroke, and after one year of not riding and not training it was really amazing. I also tested the BQR bike,
the Forward racing bike, as well as Gresini’s CRT.”
Moreover, he said that not only the technology from MotoGP is great but CRT bikes are good as well.
He thanked Bridgestone for doing a great job during winter. He added that last year they worked very hard to solve the problem they had in the last season and consequently they achieved better tyres for warm up.
“They did a really great job during the winter, because last year we worked a lot to try to solve the problem we had in the season,” he said.
Besides, he said that such improvements are very important to ensure safety. He added that Carmelo Ezpeleta of Dorna Sports has insisted him to test CRTs as well to understand their level.
Furthermore, he said that he liked the idea of testing CRTs as well. He added that they have to understand the rules for further developments in the future. Moreover, he said that he could not test Yamaha but the team has promised that they will provide
him an opportunity in near future.
Capirossi is a former MotoGP rider, who has worked with Honda, Yamaha, Ducati and Suzuki. He is the only Grand Prix rider to have started more than 300 races. He has claimed championship thrice, once with 250cc in 1998 and twice with 125cc in 1990 and 1991.
He has won 29 out of the 328 races he started.
