  1. just shows the speed is zero for that time period

  2. The "tacho" is just the modern up to date old fashioned "log book" Shows everything, speed, breaks, etc.

  3. Hi. In traffic when the vehicle is stationary the latest version of the tachograph which is digital, shows the driver as doing 'other work'. This 'other work' is not counted as driving time, but does count towards the total working day. A lorry driver can drive 4 and a half hours before having to take a 45 minute break. He can drive two 4.5 hour shifts plus one extra hour in any 24 hour period. Total working day must not exceed 15 hours.

This is the same for bus drivers as well, though if the route is under 50 kilometres, a tachograph is not required.

  4. They record the amount of time the truck is stationary too.

  5. your tacho records everything...your speed, when you stop when you are moving etc.. they are on the go all the time.
