Los Angeles Angels' Mike Trout named MLB.com top prospect – MLB News
Currently with Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, Mike Trout is considered to be Major League Baseball’s top prospect. He is a tremendously talented player that is looking forward to become a permanent part of the Los Angeles Angels.
The Angels are watching his performance carefully to gauge his effectiveness and the potential to have him in their line-up. The team is hoping that he can perform in Minor League to refine his talents and get him ready for the big leagues. The Angels have
a great deal of patience and confidence in Trout as their future prospect.
Angels’ team manager said, “He is a man whom we search for, we have a plan in our mind and we believe that he will dictate in a pretty good manner and if he follows the plan of our system, then he will become more dominating throughout all the players.”
Mike’s father Jeff Trout played in the Minor Leagues and is under the impression that his son does have what it takes to work hard and get selected into the Angels line-up for the upcoming regular season. The team is not under any doubts as to his talents,
they are just hoping that he can polish some of skills to face the onslaught of star players from the top tier teams in the league.
As Spring Training is starting, the Angels will be observing Trout carefully to assess his performance and on field abilities. The team will be looking to put in a good performance during the spring session to build some confidence in the team and finalise
their rotation and line-up before the 2011 regular season begins.
The Angels are desperate for successful regular season with the hope of making it into the playoffs. Most experts feel that the Angels have the talent and the depth in their line-up to take on any top tier team in Major League Baseball. The team will be
hoping to find the perfect balance of both young and old in their line-up and it seems that Trout may be just that player that can bring a spark into the team.
