Los Angeles Angels’ C.J Wilson throwing fast – MLB News
The Los Angeles Angels’ starting pitcher C.J Wilson has started early signs of brilliance with his fast pitching. He came out with sheer confidence against the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday in 2012 Major League Baseball Spring Training and showed his true
talents proving his place in the club.
He was exceptionally fast and put the Reds in absolute difficult position on his developing changeups. He gave only one run and three hits in his four innings’ spell. "The changeup is getting to be a better and better pitch for me, getting guys out with
it," Wilson said.
The Angels’ manager Mike Scioscia also talked about Wilson and his changeups with additional appreciation. Scioscia said, "It's a good pitch for him, there's no doubt."
Wilson, who has recently joined the Angels, is rather happy. Prior joining the Angels in this offseason, Wilson has played most of his baseball in the Texas Rangers franchise.
Back in the Rangers, he wanted a lengthy contract. On the other hand, the Rangers did not actually offer any good deal and eventually he had to find another team. In the meanwhile his agent made him decide to come in the South Los Angeles franchise for a
better continuation of his game.
Since he has joined the Angels, Wilson now expressing about the level of commitment he feels for the franchise.
“You always want to improve, it's pretty simple," Wilson recently said. "Last year, I threw 220-something innings. I want to throw more than that. I want my ERA to be lower, or whatever. I just want to improve, because that means I'm doing the right thing."
The Angels team management, coaches and officials are happy for Wilson and know he possesses the right kind of ability to lead the team in the upcoming season.
Manager Mike Scioscia’s is also feeling that Wilson will bring the stability in the team as he lately said in the media, “He was pretty efficient the last couple years with Texas, for sure, He was pitching deep into games."
The next season is going to start in coming month and if things remain positive for Wilson in this Spring Training, he will be showing his true colour of intense pitching.
