Los Angeles Angels GM shows optimism ahead of Spring Training – MLB Update
The Los Angeles Angels general manager Jerry Dipoto is showing optimism ahead of Spring Training after attending 2012 Major League Baseball’s annual Winter Meetings in Nashville. The Angels GM, who has been working extremely hard to improve its team’s overall
outlook, is speaking publically and stating with much enthusiasm that his team will be giving a tough time to its opponents next season.
He explained with detail that the Angels are currently fully stable and capable of defeating any leading Major League Baseball team. He further added that some of the offseason signings have yet to be decided by the top management soon.
Dipoto said and explained about the different aspects of the franchise, "We are prepared to. You have to make smart decisions. We are always looking to get better, but what we've done in the last couple of days is we've put ourselves in position where we
are fortified and stable, we aren't going to have to make further additions. We needed to take care of the Angels business.”
Dipoto added with confidence, “We've added four major league pitchers who can pitch primary innings for us, Some have upside attached to them. Some have durability. Some have a general track record. I feel like moves have been practical. We have plugged
holes in a quality way."
Jerry Dipoto also mentioned later that the Angels are not concerned over Zack Greinke’s signing with rival Los Angeles Dodgers. It was a certain possibility that the Angels will be re-signing Greinke however; things moved rapidly as former Angels starter
signed with the Dodgers.
Some say that it is a huge blow for the Angels that their starting offence now looks sort of scattered. The Angels with a crowded outfield cannot hold firmly any game’s total productivity. They need to include some more pitchers in order to make things more
competitive for their own good.
Though the Angels’ general manager Dipoto is quite certain that his entire roster will be competing with full thrust in the next season, but still, the Angels also need to make sure their all necessary potential players do play with their best abilities.
