Los Angeles Angels batting coach Mickey Hatcher shows optimism on team bonding – MLB News
The Los Angeles Angels batting coach Mickey Hatcher is showing some great optimism after attending the recent meeting in which he profoundly told the very principles of Angels’ team bonding and the level of thrust they still have.
This is a healthy sign for the Angels’ entire roster as well as for its top management that despite some heavy defeats in this ongoing Major League Baseball season, the coaches and the up-front on-field individuals are still putting their deep trust on their active players.
Currently, the Angels, at 13th regarding batting average in American League, have not fully opened their level of thrust which they carried through Spring Training.
Hatcher stated in the media with deep consideration on plenty of things. From last season’s performance to the winning ERA, he tried to object almost everything.
Hatcher said, "The positive things that are being said … this clubhouse is not separating, it's bonding more than ever, I tell them, 'The magic can start today.' I refuse to do it any other way. In 2002, we couldn't have started off, but those guys came together and that's what these guys are doing, I wish [fans] could sit in on our meetings, and be in our dugout during games and hear how these guys talk to each other. They're trying to get through it. Together."
Later, the Angels’ manager Mike Scioscia also appreciated Hatcher and told the media with confidence, explaining, "He's the guy who can get these guys back on track. He's a great teacher."
It was a part of schedule that the Angels’ organisation will hold a hitters’ meeting on Monday. While it was helpful for several power hitters, at the same time, it helped a lot Hatcher to understand his hitters as well as what they are thinking on team’s recent five game losing streak.
Angels’ star slugger Albert Pujols was also present in the meeting and gave his share of words. He looked optimistic giving the model of recent defeats as a perfect lesson for their upcoming games to bounce back and lift the World Series.
