Los Angeles Angels centre fielder Peter Bourjos spending much time on bench – MLB News
The Los Angeles Angels’ centre fielder Peter Bourjos is not having good time in this ongoing Major League Baseball season so-far as he is spending much time on bench getting no chance to play an active role for the team.
He is hugely talented, but the way things are unfolding for the Angels at the moment is the main reason why he is not getting a spot in starting lineup.
He is known to be the game changer as well as the hard working player in defensive areas, but the Angels’ with some new players arrival in the team, are little hesitant to give him any chance sooner.
Though he has played in this season, but with past 11 games, the Angels are neglecting him and not giving him any chance to feature in a Major League game.
Recently Bourjos said about some facts and some areas where focus should be maintained. He said with detail, "It will all work out one way or another, I think I'm too good of a player for it not to. When you're not winning games, things have to change. I
got off to a slow start, so they went in another direction. If they ask me to run in the eighth inning, I have to be ready. If you sit back and pout like a baby, it's just going to snowball. I'm going to keep working in the cage, stay positive and not dwell
on not being in the lineup."
The team manager Mike Scioscia is also seems not interested to add Bourjos in the starting roster. Though he thinks that Bourjos is a talented player, but with so many other options in the roster, Scioscia still not speeding up the rotation changes.
Another reason which experts are refereeing at the moment that why Bourjos is not getting the chance to play in the recent games is the potential arrival of Mike Trout in the team. He has been promoted from Triple-A and soon will be playing in the big league
as well.
In the meanwhile, the Angels management and including team manager are also making some room for their Minor League player’s arrival.
