Los Angeles Angels crush Baltimore Orioles 7-3 – MLB Recap
The Los Angeles Angels crushed the Baltimore Orioles 7-3 in the first game of their two-match regular series encounter on Tuesday, June 26 at Oriole Park in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
Angels from start of the game played offensively and never gave any extra loop-holes to their opponents as they kept them under pressure and eventually won the game with a big margin.
They stretched a seven run lead and gave only few chances to the Orioles.
Angels’ with the help of their senior players competed as one unit and won the game in the end.
Albert Pujols and designated hitter Mark Trumbo performed a key role in their team’s tremendous win.
Both played aggressive and helped the Angels gain an early seven run lead.
"It's just a testament to what a career he's had, He sure didn't wait very long. Best hitter in this era." Mark Trumbo said in detail on his performance which proved one of the winning factors for the Angles.              
Later manager Mike Scioscia commented on his team’s tremendous win, "This park has always been a park where the ball flies, In this park you just have to put it in your mind there are going to be home runs. It's a nice offensive park."
Angels’ starter C.J. Wilson also played wonderfully and earned a superb win for his team.
He remained calm on the mound and never gave too many way-ward deliveries in his seven innings spell. He received only one run on six hits as his ERA stayed persistent at 2.36.
"My sinker was great the first couple of innings and then just checked out of the hotel. It was going to Toronto I guess, We had to adjust on the fly." Wilson said on his tremendous outing.
Orioles’ starter Brian Matusz however, could not play well and lost the game for his team.
"It's been just a couple pitches here and there each game," Matusz said with low voice.
He finished his five innings’ spell receiving 13 hits along with five runs. He also gave five earned runs as his ERA rose to 5.24.
