From start of the game, the Los Angeles’ side stretched a decent lead of 12 runs’ into the eighth while on the other hand, never allowed the Giants’ batters to score runs that would have created some problems in their convincing win.
Angels’ main players Albert Pujols and Mark Trumbo proved one of the winning factors for their team.

"That's something we want to do every game, is to score a lot of runs early and get to their pitcher," Pujols said with confidence.
"They had an incredible night, and the early runs helped C.J.," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. "Those guys in the top of the lineup did everything we've asked them to do."
Not only batters, the Angels’ starting pitcher C.J. Wilson also helped his team to surpass the Giants with full force.
"Usually, if we score four or five runs, we're like, 'Yes!' " Wilson said. "That's usually all we need. I was really upset with myself because I didn't feel like I did a good job ... but the offense really helped me out."
Wilson finished his 6.1 innings spell with 10 hits. Allowing only five runs, he also maintained his 2.44 ERA and gave his team a superb win.
