Los Angeles Angels no match for the New York Yankees, say experts – MLB News
The way Los Angeles Angels are playing at the moment and the strength they are carrying with the presence of Albert Pujols and likes of C.J. Wilson is exciting many Major League Baseball experts to compare them with the star studded American League East
baseball franchise New York Yankees.
This time around in the offseason, the Yankees did not sign any major player as they had already several stars and best players of the League in their roster.
From CC Sabathia to Freddy Garcia and Robinson Cano to Curtis Granderson, the Yankees are certainly packed with world class talent and that is why many experts are rating the New York based baseball franchise higher than the Los Angeles Angels. The team
recently improved their roster with the inclusion of some of the best players in the League.
However, Angels’ second baseman Howie Kendrick said, "We're only nine games in — I guess if we were playing a 10-game season, we'd be in trouble, Once we start to hit better, pitch better and play better defence, it will all come together."
Yankees are currently playing with a 6-5 win loss record. They entered into the 2012 Major League Baseball season and lost the first three games of their regular season series against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Later the Yankees went on to play against the Baltimore Orioles and regained some pride while they also won their next series defeating the Los Angeles Angels 2-1.
On the other hand, the Angels are currently sitting with a poor record of 4-7 win loss while at the moment they have not won any regular series since playing the first game with the Kansas City Royals.
Angels’ outfielder Torii Hunter, who currently is being criticised regarding his performance stated in the media and described his point of view.
He said, “I know I'm not doing my job right now, The last two games were pretty rough, but we've got to keep hacking, make some adjustments and get some normalcy, at home and on the road. It's a little bit of everything, Come Monday or Tuesday; you might
see some different guys, some different players. ... We're not panicking at all. It's going to change."
In the meanwhile, this comparison is satisfactory, but many other experts also believe that this is the beginning of the season and until mid season break no one can judge the Yankees or the Angels and predict their potential future standings.
