Los Angeles Angels receive 10-3 hammering from Texas Rangers – MLB Recap
The Los Angeles Angels received bitter hammering of 10-3 from the last year’s World Series finalists Texas Rangers in first game of their three-match regular series encounter on Friday, May 11, at Rangers Ballpark, Arlington in 2012 Major League Baseball
season.
Left fielder Josh Hamilton once again rose to the occasion and played a winning role for his team. His two homers paved the perfect plat form for the Rangers to rout the Angels, who were coming into this series with full confidence after defeating the Minnesota
Twins 2-1.
"That was cool, You don't know what to do in that instance because it was in the middle of a game." Hamilton said after the Friday night game.
The Rangers new starter Yu Darvish also played a balanced game and went with consistent numbers. He pitched 5.1 innings and never showed any loop holes to the Angels strong batting lineup. He gave only three hits along with three hits, three earned runs
and seven strikeouts.
"Yu pitched great. I was proud of him coming back out there and sticking it out, doing what he's got to do, That says to his teammates about him as a player and a competitor to go back out and do that." said Hamilton for Darvish.
Later Texas manager Ron Washington also said for Darvish’s great outing. "He wanted to pitch. He said he showed up today to pitch. He didn't show up today to go out there for one inning and call it quits, He was mentally prepared to pitch against the Angels."
The Rangers from start of the game put enormous pressure on the Angels as their talented batting lineup made six early runs in the very first inning of the game. The Angels on the other hand, did try little to decrease this huge six run gap as they pushed
their batters who earned some two runs before the Rangers again started another run from third inning onwards and eventually won it with 10-3 margin.
Experts believe that the way Rangers are performing currently is hugely commendable and its looking obvious that they will come out victorious against the Angels in this three match series.
